Can you promote in r/unsentletters?

A place for the letter you never sent.

The short answer

Do not mention or promote your product or company; instead offer empathetic, on-topic replies and only ask if advice is wanted (respect NAW flair).

What works here

  • Empathetic, nonjudgmental comments
  • Asking OP if they want advice (only after reading flair)
  • On-topic supportive discussion that follows subreddit rules

What gets posts removed

  • Pitching products/services or posting links
  • Giving unsolicited advice or opinions (especially on NAW posts)
  • Low-effort/AI-generated content or copypasta
  • Commenting as if the letter is directed at you

Where this comes from

View the current official rules on Reddit

No unsolicited advice

Rule explicitly forbids giving opinion or advice in response to an unsent letter; NAW (No Advice Wanted) flair must be respected.

No spam / low-effort posts

Spam, low-effort letters and AI-generated content are removed; moderators have final say.

Support-focused, nonjudgmental

Sub is a haven to speak without criticism; insulting/derogatory comments and judgement are prohibited.

On-topic constraint

Comments that derail/support-safety issues can lead to bans; letters must be to a real recipient.
