The short answer

Engage as an individual providing helpful, non-promotional answers; do not mention your product/company or include links/contact details.

What works here

  • Answering questions with neutral, factual information
  • Sharing credible news or public announcements with sources
  • Participating as a personal account (not a corporate account)

What gets posts removed

  • Posting product launches, demos, or requests for customers
  • Advertising, sales pitches, or linking to company sites
  • Using an account that represents a company or contains contact info
  • Posting solicitations, surveys, or recruitment for money/jobs

No advertising, sales, or corporate accounts

Directly prohibits accounts that represent companies or are used to advertise, blocking vendor promotion.

No spam

Spam and junk posts are disallowed, which covers unsolicited promotions and lead generation.

No personal blog/vlog postings

Prevents posting promotional personal project updates or blog-style self-promotion.

No requests for jobs or money

Bans requests for money or jobs, which overlaps with solicitations or crowdfunding pitches.

Account age restriction

Submissions from very new accounts are removed to reduce low-quality promotional posts.

  4. 04No trolling, disruption, or harassment.
  5. 05No NSFW content.
  6. 06No propaganda.
  7. 07Do not editorialise headlines of news articles.
  8. 08News articles must be from credible sources. No content aggregators. Please provide suitable sources
  9. 09No personal blog/vlog postings.
  10. 10No headlines in all capitals.
  11. 11Submissions from accounts < 3 days old will be removed.
  12. 12No racism, sexism, ageism, transphobia, homophobia, or other bigotry.
  13. 13Submissions should be in English. Posts and comments in other languages will be removed.
  14. 14No requests for jobs or money.
  15. 15No personal attacks or threats.
