Can you promote in r/type2diabetes?

A community for support of and sharing of experiences by all who are affected by type 2 diabetes. Please read the rules before your first post. Feel free to post about any type 2 subjects you wish. The only silly questions about diabetes here are the questions that should have been asked but were not. Spam, kooks and links to 'cures' will disappear without trace. The same will occur to comments suggesting that type 2 is a self-inflicted condition.

The short answer

Do not post promotional content or attempt to solicit customers; if you must engage, participate as a regular member first and only share non-promotional personal experience without mentioning products or companies, or contact the mods for permission.

What works here

  • Share personal experiences about living with type 2 diabetes (non-promotional)
  • Conduct surveys only if they meet strict disclosure and detail requirements
  • Participate in support/discussion in a non-commercial manner

What gets posts removed

  • Direct advertising, fundraising, or requests for donations
  • Promotional posts about products, services, launches, or demos
  • Posting treatment endorsements, ‘cure’ links, or soliciting customers
  • Giving medical advice or acting as a medical professional

Promotion of treatments/blogs requires prior introduction

Rule 6 forbids giving medical advice, limiting usefulness of promotional clinical claims.
