Can you promote in r/truechristian?

We exist to provide a safe haven for all followers of Jesus Christ to discuss God, Jesus, the Bible, and information relative to our beliefs, and to provide non-believers a place to ask questions about Christianity as explained in the scriptures, without fear of mockery or debasement. For convenience, we use the Nicene Creed as our standard for people to self-identify as Christians, as this is an ecumenical space, and Protestants, Orthodox, and Catholics all agree with the creed.

The short answer

Do not try to pitch or share product links publicly; engage only as a regular community member, avoid promotional language, and ask moderators on r/TrueChristianMeta before any vendor-like outreach.

What works here

  • join the community Discord (public invite provided in sidebar)

What gets posts removed

  • posting product/service promotions or lead-generation
  • posting links (posts with links will be removed)
  • soliciting customers, surveys, recruiting, or advertising
  • putting promotional links in comments (mods may remove)

Rule 5.c explicitly forbids posts that 'promote outside content', which covers product pitches or vendor promotions.

Rule 8 and sidebar state posts that include links are prohibited and links in comments are at moderator discretion.

Use Meta for suggestions

Sidebar directs suggestions/ideas to r/TrueChristianMeta (ask mods there rather than promoting in main subreddit).

Topical, scripture-supported contributions valued

Rules emphasize content must relate to the sub's purpose and be Scripturally supported — good for genuine participation but not promotion.
