Can you promote in r/travel?

r/travel is a community about exploring the world. Your pictures, questions, stories, or any good content is welcome. Please read the rules, pinned announcements and the wiki/FAQ before posting. Failure to do so may result in a removal or ban. Given the high volume of posts, there are no warnings given out. If you've never contributed positively to this subreddit (or travel-adjacent subreddits) before being banned, your chance of a successful appeal to any ban is nearly zero. Happy travels!

Answer questions helpfully as a community member without mentioning or promoting your product/company; if you must disclose affiliation, do so only in direct responses to moderator guidance after prior positive participation.

What works here

  • Answer travel questions with personal experience and specific, non-commercial advice
  • Link to official sources (airlines, embassies) or factual resources when directly relevant
  • Post non-promotional photos/stories that follow the image rules

What gets posts removed

  • Posting product launches, surveys, market research, brochures, or promotional links
  • Making top-level posts whose main purpose is marketing or lead generation
  • Using AI-generated content (explicitly banned)
