Can you promote in r/realtors?

For discussion about what it means to be a Realtor or Real Estate Agent. Industry-specific news, ideas, questions, stories and anything related to the business of selling real estate. The term REALTOR™ is a registered trademark of the National Association of Realtors. This subreddit is not affiliated with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) but many of the subscribers are members of NAR. We are a professional forum and professionals should adhere to the NAR Code of Ethics.

The short answer

Do not post or comment to market your product or solicit users; if you must engage, provide purely helpful, non-promotional advice and consult the mods first.

What works here

  • Answer factual questions without promoting a product
  • Give referrals (non-soliciting) and participate in general profession discussion
  • Link to a business in comments only when not self-promoting

What gets posts removed

  • Posting about products, services, launches, demos, or asking for testers/feedback
  • Soliciting referrals, recruiting, surveys, or lead generation
  • Discussing vendors/tech (redirect to r/RealEstateTechnology)

Rules explicitly ban posts, comments, or PMs promoting a business, product, service, brokerage, brand, blogs/vlogs or asking for tests/feedback/surveys.

No Vendor/Technology Discussions

Technology, third-party vendors, and platforms are not wanted and should be posted in r/RealEstateTechnology.

Sidebar & Posting Warning

Sidebar warns posting anything promoting a product/service or blog-spam will get you banned.

Linking Allowed Only when Not Self-Promoting

Linking to a business in comments is acceptable provided you are not self-promoting — narrow exception.
