Can you promote in r/podcasts?
r/podcasts: a subreddit to discover, discuss, and review podcasts with other podcast enthusiasts. As part of this mission, r/podcasts is curated to promote respectful and on-topic discussions. This is not a place to promote your podcast.
The short answer
Do not promote or post links; if you must reply publicly only engage as a regular user, keep product/company mentions out, and — if directly required by the thread — be very brief, disclose affiliation, and avoid soliciting users.
What works here
- Make a comment only if your podcast is directly relevant to an existing new thread and you clearly disclose involvement
- Occasional participation as a regular community member (keeping self-promo under 10% of activity)
What gets posts removed
- Posting links to your podcast or service
- Creating posts to promote, request feedback, recruit customers, or solicit services
- Discussing podcast-hosting/editing/starting advice (moved to r/podcasting) or posting low-effort/link-only content

Self-promotion is disallowed except in the narrow case of direct relevance to a newly posted thread with clear disclosure; overall posts for self-promo will be removed/lead to ban.
No promotional posts/links
Sidebar and submit text state posting links to your podcast for promotion will be removed immediately by automod or moderators.
Service solicitation banned
Service solicitation posts (seeking or offering work) are not allowed and will be removed.
Creator/how-to posts removed
Posts by creators about hosting, editing gear, starting a podcast will be removed and referred elsewhere.
Feedback/content requests prohibited
Feedback requests, idea searches, and research-related posts are not allowed in this subreddit.
