Can you promote in r/ocdrecovery?

A RECOVERY FOCUSED Community. Our mission is to foster a constructive, pro-recovery environment. Here, we discuss recovery challenges, share recovery success stories, exchange tips and strategies and explore helpful content. If you are in crisis or feeling highly emotional, we encourage you to visit other OCD subs that accommodate such posts. You can also refer to our resources section for additional support options or consult a therapist. Please remember reassurance seeking is not allowed.

The short answer

Do not promote your product or brand publicly; if you must engage, contribute as a supportive community member without links or promotion and follow the weekly research thread for surveys.

What works here

  • Engage in recovery-focused discussion and offer general support
  • Share personal experience (clearly labelled as personal)
  • Post research/survey requests only in the weekly dedicated thread

What gets posts removed

  • Posting links to products, services, websites, or media
  • Advertising, solicitation, or recruiting customers
  • Asking users to DM you or DMing users unsolicited
  • Posting surveys or research requests outside the weekly thread
  • Providing professional medical advice or reassurance

Research requests restricted

All research/survey requests must be posted in the weekly dedicated thread, preventing outreach elsewhere.
