  • direct messaging users to recruit customers or leads

No Commercial Interests

The rules remove submissions/comments from media marketers, personal blogs, podcasts, donation requests, affiliate links, or any attempts to use the community for profit or marketing.

Research Surveys Restriction

Surveys are only permitted in a single monthly mod-created pinned thread and only if scientific/academic with public, paywall-free results; market/commercial research is disallowed.

Most submissions should be self-posts / no links from new users

Link submissions that foster discussion are allowed from active members, implying restrictions on promotional links.

No Spam / No bots

No spam and no bots/astroturf accounts; community enforces removal of inappropriate posts and comments.
