LegalAdviceUK exists to provide help for those in need of legal support in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We operate as a form of "legal triage" where commenters can guide posters towards resolving issues themselves or towards an appropriate professional.

The short answer

Answer publicly with helpful, on‑topic legal information, disclose your affiliation briefly if relevant, and avoid links, invitations to PM, or any solicitation of business.

What works here

  • Provide on-topic, helpful legal answers
  • Ask/answer questions as a firm/organisation without promoting services
  • Suggest contacting charities or public resources that directly help OP
  • Disclose your affiliation for transparency (but don't solicit)

What gets posts removed

  • Posting promotional messages or advertising your product/service
  • Recommending or linking to paid services or law firms
  • Asking users to contact you via PM or offering private consultation
  • Using comments primarily to generate leads, surveys, or recruit customers
