Can you promote in r/japanlife?

For residents of Japan only - if you do not reside in Japan you are welcome to read, but do not post or comment or you will be removed. Anything relevant to living or working in Japan such as lifestyle, food, style, environment, education, technology, housing, work, immigration, sport etc. Rakuten Employees: Do not attempt to distribute your referral codes. We will treat it as spam. Tell Mikitani to take his forced marketing and shove it where the sun don't shine.

The short answer

Do not post promotional content or mention your product/company; if you must engage as a resident, contribute purely helpful, non-commercial answers and contact mods before any recruitment or sales-related post.

What works here

  • Answer resident-focused questions with non-promotional, value-adding info
  • Ask for mod approval before any sale, recruitment, research, or participation request
  • Participate only if you are an actual resident of Japan

What gets posts removed

  • Posting product pitches, demos, or launches
  • Links to blogs, videos, social media or commercial pages
  • Soliciting customers, recruitment, surveys, or paid research without explicit mod approval
