The short answer

Do not post promotional content or solicit customers; if you want to help, respond as a regular traveler giving impartial, non-commercial advice without mentioning your product or company.

What works here

  • Answer travel questions as an individual without promoting services
  • Provide impartial, on-topic travel tips and itinerary help
  • Participate only if account meets subreddit karma/age requirements

What gets posts removed

  • Posting links to products, blogs, social media, or affiliate content
  • Soliciting customers, offering paid services, tours, or bookings
  • Running surveys, polls, market research, or promotional giveaways

Rule 3 forbids self-promotion including links to blogs, social media, product/service offerings and affiliate links.

No sales or solicitation

Rule 6 explicitly bans offers/requests for products, services, travel agents, tours, and similar solicitations.

No surveys or market research

Rule 8 prohibits surveys, polls, petitions, fundraising and any requests for information from members.

Account minimums apply

Rule 11 requires minimum comment karma and account age before contributing, limiting new/vendored accounts.

Spam and unauthorized polls forbidden

Rule 3 also lists spam and unauthorized polls/surveys as disallowed content.
