The short answer

Disclose your role, follow the ABC (Answer, Better, Cost) format if posting to the main feed, or post in the monthly App Shelf Megathread and use only App Store/TestFlight links; avoid repeated promotion.

What works here

  • Posting apps in main feed if you qualify via Trust/Transparency + ABC format
  • Posting in the monthly App Shelf Megathread if you don't qualify
  • Linking only to App Store or TestFlight (no shortened links)
  • Infrequent self-promotion (max once per developer per 30 days) with disclosure

What gets posts removed

  • Posting promotional content without ABC format or trust qualification in main feed
  • Using non-official download links or URL shorteners
  • Posting more than once per 30 days or promoting in comments before earning 10 subreddit karma
  • Using affiliate/referral/invite links, asking for promo code comments, or posting AI-core apps

Self-promotion limited to once per developer per 30 days and you must always disclose your relationship in comments; commenting promotion requires 10 subreddit karma.

Banned content types

No affiliate/referral links and generative-AI-core apps are not allowed.
