Can you promote in r/interviews?

A subreddit dedicated to job interviews.

The short answer

Do not post promotional messages or solicit services; if you want to engage, participate as a regular non-promotional community member and avoid mentioning your product or company.

What works here

  • Non-promotional discussion about interview experiences and advice
  • Link posts for articles that follow the '[Article]' title rule
  • Civil participation and answering questions without soliciting business

What gets posts removed

  • Posting job ads or hiring solicitations
  • Advertising or soliciting services (including free offerings)
  • Promotional posts, direct outreach to solicit customers or leads

Where this comes from

View the current official rules on Reddit

No advertising

Sidebar and rules state 'No postings advertising or soliciting services, regardless of whether the services being advertised are paid or free.' This forbids vendor solicitations.

No job advertisements

Rules explicitly say 'No posting of job advertisements' and direct posters to /r/forhire or /r/jobbit for jobs.

Article link restriction

Only link posts allowed are for articles with titles beginning '[Article]'; other content must be text posts — limits promotional link posting.
