Answer helpfully without promoting your product; if you must disclose affiliation keep it brief and ask mods if you want to link or promote — otherwise wait for the biweekly promotion thread.
What works here
- Participate normally in discussions and offer helpful, on-topic answers
- Post about your work in the biweekly promo thread (every other Wednesday)
- Request prior mod permission to promote or post links
What gets posts removed
- Posting standalone promotional posts or comments linking to your book, website, store, survey, social accounts, or discord
- Using comments to solicit customers, leads, or reviews outside the promo thread
- Posting low-effort promotional content or repeated self-promotion

The rules explicitly allow promoting Historical Romance–related work only in biweekly threads every other Wednesday.
Self-promotion elsewhere prohibited
Comments referring to external channels (YouTube, Goodreads, insta, discord, etsy, survey link, etc.) are not allowed outside those promo threads unless you have prior mod permission.
On-topic discussion expectation
All posts and comments must remain on the topic of Historical Romance, so vendor replies should be relevant and add value.
Moderators control exceptions
The sub requires prior mod team permission for promotional exceptions, so clearance should be requested via modmail.
