  • Spammy, low-effort, or repeat promotional content

Events & Solicitation restricted

Event or fundraiser posts require moderator approval and should go in the Monthly Events thread; polls/surveys/petitions/interview requests are not permitted

No Spam / Low-effort

Spammy, trivial, repetitive, or easily searchable posts will be removed, discouraging obvious lead-gen or promotional content

Local focus requirement

Posts must focus on Halifax; non-local content only if directly relevant, so vendor outreach must be locally relevant

Limited news sharing

News posts limited per-user (5 per 24h), indicating strict posting limits that could affect promotional announcements framed as news
