Can you promote in r/dota2trade?

Traders of all experience levels are welcome! **You must register your Steam account in order to post.** Please do so at www.rugcflair.com. No exceptions will be made.

The short answer

If you reply publicly, keep the message focused on the specific Dota2 trade (price/buyout/availability), register your Steam flair first, follow the buyout and posting rules, disclose any affiliation briefly only if relevant, and avoid broad company promotion or non-Dota offers.

What works here

  • Posting/ replying about specific Dota2 items for trade
  • Listing buyouts/prices as required
  • Using registered Steam flair and following posting frequency

What gets posts removed

  • Using the subreddit for general product/company promotion
  • Soliciting leads for non-Dota items or services (e.g., game keys, currencies)
  • Posting more than allowed frequency or deleting to bypass limits

Where this comes from

View the current official rules on Reddit

Trades must contain Dota2 items

Posts/threads must include Dota2 items in Have/Want/Auction, so discussions should be about actual Dota2 trades.

One post per 8 hours limit

Users are limited to one sale post per 8 hours — avoid frequent promotional posting.

Buyout listing required

Buyouts/prices must be listed for items (except exclusions), so be explicit about price when replying.

Steam account registration required

You must register your Steam account via the provided flair service before posting; this is mandatory.

Banned trade types

Game keys, real-world currency trades, and other codes are disallowed — don't solicit or advertise these.
