Do not mention or promote your product/company; instead contribute helpful, non-promotional answers and use modmail/Discord to ask about allowed ways to share projects.

What works here

  • Answer technical or community questions without promoting a product
  • Participate in general DJ discussion
  • Share GitHub/project links only after moderator approval
  • Use the Discord to engage (non-promotional)

What gets posts removed

  • Posting or replying to advertise your company, product, mixes, tracks, events, or services
  • Soliciting gigs or recruiting customers
  • Posting social/YouTube/TikTok links that serve as promotion
  • Posting polls or GitHub links without permission/mod approval

Self-promotion banned

Rules and sidebar state ‘Do not post advertisements for your DJ business/crew/mix/club night/etc.’ and list self-promotion posts as against sub-rules.

Mixes/tracks/events prohibited

Sidebar and rules say 'This subreddit is not for promoting your own tracks or mixes' and 'Do not post your new mix or your new track.'

No gig solicitations

Rules explicitly disallow 'Looking for DJ' posts and advise against soliciting gigs in the subreddit.

Links and social posts restricted

Posts relying on YouTube/Twitch/TikTok/Instagram links will be removed unless there's a 'really good reason' per moderators.

GitHub requires mod approval

Posting GitHub projects is allowed only after manual review and moderator approval.
