Can you promote in r/cubers?

For people who love any sort of twisty puzzles, including but not limited to: Rubik's Cubes (and any size/design variants), the Square 1, the Pyraminx and more.

The short answer

Be transparent and minimal: participate normally, disclose affiliation, follow the 1-per-7-days rule, avoid shop-focused sales posts and public customer-support threads, and get mod guidance if unsure.

What works here

  • One self-promotional post (videos, projects) every 7 days
  • Non-commercial participation and normal helpful answers in comments
  • Linking directly to non-affiliate sites (no affiliate links)

What gets posts removed

  • Posting biased shop promotion, sales, or deals
  • Using multiple accounts or asking for likes/shares
  • Public customer support or private-sales posts
  • Affiliate links or repeated vendor solicitation

Self-promotion frequency limit

Self-promotion (videos, books, apps, etc.) allowed once every 7 days, with restrictions on titles and link formatting.

Store advertising restriction

No biased promotion of one cube shop over another; sales, deals, and store self-promotion are restricted and governed by additional store guidelines.

Customer support via PM

Cube shop customer support is not allowed publicly; use private messages instead.

No affiliate links

Affiliate links are explicitly prohibited; only direct links allowed.
