Can you promote in r/claudeai?

The short answer

Answer helpfully first, disclose your involvement, focus on technical details and how Claude was used, avoid overt promotional language or referral links, and post only if you meet the subreddit posting requirements.

What works here

  • Showcase projects built with Claude if you clearly state you built it
  • Describe how Claude helped and what the project does
  • Link to project (no referral links) and offer free trial availability
  • Participate in discussions and provide useful, non-promotional contributions

What gets posts removed

  • Hard-sell, promotional language, or referral links
  • Posting account-support requests or recruiting customers/jobs
  • Posting without sufficient personal research/experience for comparisons
  • Posting product/launch without meeting karma/megathread rules

Promotion is allowed if the post clearly states it was built with Claude by you, explains how Claude helped, what it does, is free to try, uses minimal promotional language, and contains no referral links.

Competitor/comparison rules

Posts comparing competitors require detailed personal research and evidence rather than simple asks or inflammatory language.

Use megathreads for bug/performance reports

Recent performance/bug reports should go to megathreads to avoid feed flooding; exceptions for substantiated and helpful posts.

Account help not permitted

The subreddit is not the place for Anthropic account support — use official support channels.

Posting requirement

Posts on the feed require OP karma > 50, so new accounts or low-karma founders should avoid direct promotions.
