Can you promote in r/caregiversupport?
Welcome! Caregiving is an enormously challenging role, physically, emotionally, and financially. We are a caring community of caregivers here to support you, to problem solve with you and to simply let you vent when you need to. We are so glad you are here.
The short answer
Do not promote your product or solicit users; only participate as a supportive community member and, if you are a researcher/developer, use the Weekly Research Wednesday thread per the sidebar.
What works here
- Empathetic, non-promotional support and experience-sharing
- Answering caregiver questions with practical, non-commercial advice
- Posting research/developer requests only in Weekly Research Wednesday thread
What gets posts removed
- Posting product pitches, demos, affiliate links, or advertisements
- Running surveys, studies, recruitment, or data-collection outside the designated thread
- Linking to apps/services or sending unsolicited PMs to users
Where this comes from
View the current official rules on RedditNo (Disguised) Product Placements
The rules explicitly ban posts pitching guides, apps, or free resources that benefit the poster and subject such posts to removal and bans.
No Advertisements
Advertisements for products, services, podcasts and/or apps are not allowed.
No Research/Study/Survey Requests
External data collection, surveys, and research requests are prohibited except via the weekly thread noted in the sidebar.
Designated research thread
Sidebar instructs researchers/developers to post only in the Weekly Research Wednesday thread; other requests will be deleted.
Link posts disabled
Link posts are disabled due to spam, indicating links to products/services are not appropriate in normal posts.
