Can you promote in r/business_ideas?

Share and explore innovative business ideas, gain insights on initiating your venture, unravel the intricacies of 'Cost of Sale' (CoS), and decode the essentials of taxation – your nexus for entrepreneurial minds seeking to transform concepts into successful ventures.

The short answer

Do not promote or link to your product in regular posts or comments; engage with helpful, non-promotional answers and use the Sunday Free For All thread or get mod approval before sharing commercial content.

What works here

  • Answer questions with neutral, helpful advice
  • Participate in discussions without promoting a product
  • Post about your business or services only in the Weekly Free For All thread (Sunday)
  • Request feedback on a website after contacting moderators (modmail) and providing sample credentials

What gets posts removed

  • Advertising your product, service, blog, website, Discord or social accounts in regular posts/comments
  • Posting links to surveys or external sign-up/waitlist pages without mod approval
  • Using the subreddit as a focus group or to solicit customers
  • Making promotional replies to leads in public threads
