Can you promote in r/buildapc?

Planning on building a computer but need some advice? This is the place to ask! /r/buildapc is a community-driven subreddit dedicated to custom PC assembly. Anyone is welcome to seek the input of our helpful community as they piece together their desktop.

Do not promote your product or link to it; instead provide neutral, actionable help as a community member and use allowed external channels (e.g., approved deal subreddits or mod-approved posts) if needed.

What works here

  • Answer technical build questions and recommend types of parts generically
  • Help users assemble or troubleshoot without promoting a product or service
  • Refer users to community resources (wiki, Discord) and general tools like PCPartPicker

What gets posts removed

  • Posting promotional content, affiliate/self-serving links, or asking for customers
  • Sharing sales, deals, or giveaways without moderator approval
  • Using comments or posts to solicit business, surveys, or recruit users
