The short answer

Provide a concise, factual, helpful answer first; if you mention your product or company keep it brief, highly relevant, and non-promotional (disclose affiliation) or avoid mentioning it unless asked.

What works here

  • Post/comment factual, on-topic answers to questions with definitive answers
  • Briefly mention a relevant tool or project when it directly helps answer the question

What gets posts removed

  • Overt advertising, lead-generation, or off-topic promotional language
  • Posting survey/solicitation or advice/medical/political/legal questions that violate rules
  • Long product pitches, links, or repeated vendor-style replies without prior community participation

Comments are required to be helpful and relevant, which discourages off-topic promotional posts.

Moderators may remove posts at discretion

Mods reserve the right to remove any post or comment even if it doesn't violate listed rules, so borderline promotional posts risk removal.

Subreddit scope excludes surveys/advice/medical/political/legal

Several content categories are explicitly banned, so avoid posts that resemble surveys, solicitations, or requests for advice.
