Can you promote in r/adhders?
ADHDers, unite! This subreddit was created to provide a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for those with ADHD to converse. We are proud members of the Neurodiversity Movement, which is also a part of Disability Rights Movement.
The short answer
Participate as a supportive community member; if you want to mention a product/service or solicit feedback/leads, get mod approval first and disclose your affiliation briefly.
What works here
- supportive personal comments and experience-sharing
- asking for or giving non-research peer advice
- marketing/solicitation only with prior moderator permission and likely restrictions
What gets posts removed
- posting unsolicited product links, promotions, or recruitment
- crowdfunding, marketing, or engagement-bait posts
- running surveys or research requests (disallowed)
Where this comes from
View the current official rules on RedditNo Crowd-Funding/Marketing
The rules explicitly ban crowd-funding, marketing, and engagement-bait posts, so unsolicited promotional posts are not allowed.
Prior permission required
The sidebar says no crowd-funding or marketing posts without prior permission from the moderation team, meaning promotion may be allowed only after approval.
No research requests
Research requests are explicitly disallowed, so recruiting participants or running surveys is prohibited.
Community tone rules
Emphasis on being kind, supportive, and inclusive — respond as a community member rather than a seller.
