Can you promote in r/911dispatchers?

All discussion is open, please keep it 911 dispatch related and civil. We are a gathering place for 911 dispatchers to vent/talk/collaborate on things relating to the wonderful world of public safety communications. Please no politics here, they will be removed as well as brigades of any kind. Also, we are not a 9/11 or September 11th 2001 sub (Welcome to the night shift..)

The short answer

Do not post promotional content or links; if you need to contact the community about services or research, message the mods first and keep any participation purely non-commercial and on-topic.

What works here

  • civil, dispatch-related discussion
  • non-commercial questions and experience-sharing
  • use of recommended external hangouts (Discord/IRC) listed in sidebar

What gets posts removed

  • soliciting goods/services or recruiting customers
  • posting promotional links or repeated self-promotion
  • running polls/requests for personnel without ModMail approval

Soliciting not allowed

Rule 4 explicitly forbids soliciting goods and services and requires contacting mods via ModMail before posting such requests.

No spam or self-promotion

Rules state spamming and repeated promotion or linking to your own website will not be tolerated.

On-topic requirement

Posts must be dispatch-related and civil, so commercial pitches would be off-topic.
